“I set up The Odd Factory in 2009, from a workshop to a 4900sq ft slow fashion manufacturing unit, with 40 machinists, 10 embroiderers, 2 machine embroiderers and 2 pattern cutters. Meet the Founders
Two sisters, Karishma Sampat and Turiya Kapur run the show for The ODD Factory alongside the support of their teams. Karishma (MA Economics) brings in the Creativity, the skill, the technical know how, the love for good slow fashion. A doting mother, Karishma takes pride in her passion for helping brands achieve their creative goals. She brings utmost precision and care to the table, not only for the brands but also the people and hands behind the scenes.
Her younger sister Turiya Kapur (Msc Investment Analysis) handles Finance, Strategic Marketing and Business Development for the parent company and her consulting brands. With a love for Healing Practices, Cosmic Sciences and Meditation, she practices giving back to society in multiple ways.
When this power house of Numbers and Creativity combine, clients and brands get the best of both worlds. ‘We take on a limited amount of orders and clients monthly because we prefer to work 1:1 with our clients, to ensure each brand gets personalised attention and is not just another order in our books’ – Turiya and Karishma
